Wine Country Encuentro 2020 UPDATE!

Dear Friends,

 

Olivia and I are very excited to welcome you to our upcoming private and confidential "Speak Easy" tango weekend this August 7-9, 2020. Attendance was limited to 14 role balanced dancers, 4 milongas, Friday Meet & Greet with wine, choice of beverages, and spinach, mushroom and beef empanadas from Venga, our favorite local Argentine restaurant in San Francisco, delicious traditional Japanese obento luncheon on Sunday at Haku Restaurant, just 5 minutes from Lomitas Center in Santa Rosa. Individually wrapped and packaged snacks will be available throughout the weekend along with Pellegrino water, wine, coffee and tea. 

 

We are mindful to take the following precautions listed below on a best efforts basis to strive to keep everyone healthy throughout the weekend.

  1. Attendance will be limited to 14 role balanced dancers to provide for a distance of 6 feet between couples dancing on the floor.
  2. Temperatures will be scanned at the door prior to each milonga.
  3. Anyone experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please refrain from attending.
  4. Professional cleaners will be on premise cleaning and sterilizing throughout the weekend.
  5. Hand sanitizer will be provided at every table throughout the Encuentro.
  6. Attendees will be required to wash hands and/or use hand sanitizer after each tanda.
  7. Face masks will be optional.
  8. All guests will sign a waiver of liability at the door.
  9. Meet & Greet Friday from 6:00pm - 7:00pm
  10. Milonga times for Friday and Saturday evening will be from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, which will allow us to contemporaneously open windows (allowing utmost circulation of fresh air) and offset any temperature variance with air conditioning.
  11. Milonga times for Saturday afternoon will be from 12:00pm to 3:00pm
  12. Lunch at Haku Sushi will run from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm
  13. Milonga time for Sunday will run 2:30pm – 5:30pm
  14. All snacks will be prepackaged and individually wrapped.
  15. All utensils, plates, cups and napkins will be disposable.
  16. Optional wine tasting and appetizers will take place on Monday August 10, 2020 at the beautiful Chateau Montelena, hosted by owner Judy Barrett and General Manager, Dave Vella, both tango dancers who will be attending our Speak Easy tango weekend. Please see attached for details.
